Hi friends! Welcome to Love and a Pinch! I’m so excited to have you here with me and share the love that is this little site of mine. I’m Erika and I couldn’t be happier to meet you all. Let’s start off by saying that I’m just a simple Chicago girl, living in hot and sunny Florida.
FAST FORWARD —-> I moved back to Chicago, woohoo! I’m obsessed with my family and my little chihuahua yorkie named Ty! I mean my parents are literally my favorite people in the whole wide world. Yep..I’m THAT kind of daughter. I grew up with my huge, crazy, loving Hispanic family and I couldnt ask for anything better. I spent weekends with my cousins eating all the yummy foods our grandma made. You’ll eventually see most of my family’s recipes show up on here and I can’t. wait. for. that!
I moved to Florida for College and ended up staying for a few years. I graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a degree in Baking&Pastry. After graduating I moved in to my own little apartment and that’s when I started experimenting. I started learning about all the food allergies and dairy intolerances in my family, which led me to want to discover healthier alternatives. It sparked the creative side of me and it went from there!
I’m always in the kitchen and my mind is a nonstop cooking show. I’m a little obsessed with all things oatmeal, and I’m probably drinking a cup of tea. I’m so excited to show you all the great recipes I’ve poured so much love into. I’m still learning and growing so I can’t wait to do that with all you as well. You’ll also see plenty of the pup, my family, my life, but most importantly… FOOD. Please Enjoy!
